Migraines and constipation?
Recently had a 40 yr old patient who presented with several issues from migraines to constipation, reflux, gas, bloating, skin discolorations, achey pain when cold out, hair loss, fatigue, etc.
If enzymes are not efficient, which seems to be a common issue among my patients who have taken strong antibiotics, then essential fatty acids are more likely not able to convert into a form in which help minerals breakdown, leading to hair loss (hair is thought to be an extension of mineral rich blood) and hormonal issues (skin discoloration?), toxicity (lack of movement) etc.
Imagine that feces sitting and rotting in the intestine, then bubbling, boiling and becoming more toxic. No wonder there were migraines (I believe toxins are a main contributor to migraine issues) showing up. Nothing is moving through the bowels, leading to stagnation causing gas and bloating.
In the end, the main issue pointed to chemical toxicity which was most likely paralyzing the intestines resulting in constipation. The constipation, in itself would add to the toxicity because the bowel movements were once every 2-3 weeks. The 2nd issue was in all likelihood mineral deficiency / absorption issue due to lack of efficient enzymes.
I like to get the bowels moving, so the elimination channels are working and support the body with good minerals, essential fatty acids and multi-minerals. Adding in a multi-enzyme would help the body emulsify the food better so it is in better form to process.

*I am recommending that you consult your allopathic doctor before you make any changes, but keep in mind that allopathic doctors are not alternative therapist and most only know their particular field. If you are on prescription drugs, you have no choice but to follow the doctor's orders but try to implement what you can with the other suggestions and continue to ask if you can be safely taken off the medication or if there is a drug free way to address your issue. Seek out an Alternative Therapist to complement your treatment with advise on diet and nutrition, etc.
